Maria Njeri, an Africa Nazarene University alumnus from Kikuyu, Kenya, was born with cerebral palsy. Many universities in Kenya were unable to accommodate differently abled people, but ANU worked to help Njeri meet their bachelor’s program qualifications and finish her education.
After a medical missions team from South Korea visited Myanmar last year, they realized there was a need for ongoing medical care among the Myanmar migrants. In response, the medical team recently visited Thailand to provide care for migrants working outside of their homeland.

Initiatives and Announcements
Hurricane Florence hit the U.S. less than a day before Typhoon Mangkhut hit the Philippines. Both storms are massive in scale, affecting millions of people in the two areas. The Church of the Nazarene is already responding thanks to disaster response teams that were in position before the storms even hit.
