David and Jennifer Allen, along with their children Bethany and Max serve as missionaries for the Africa Region.
David works as the Africa Regional Finance Coordinator. He provides training throughout the Africa Region in the areas of finance, accounting, and stewardship. David works closely with field leaders to maximize resource use in order to accomplish the goal of taking the church where it is not already. David also enjoys teaching the young adults at his church in Johannesburg.
Jennifer serves as the Donor Relations Coordinator for the Africa Region. She is passionate about connecting people to projects that match their areas of interest.
Both David and Jennifer were raised in Christian homes and are thankful to their families for helping them to develop a love for the Lord at a young age.
David earned a B.S. in marketing from the University of Idaho, a Masters of Accountancy from Gonzaga University, and his Masters of Divinity in Missional Leadership from Northwest Nazarene University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in theology at the University of South Africa. David has experience in sales, retail management, and operating an accounting practice.
Jennifer earned a B.S. in psychology from Washington State University, a Masters in Teaching from Whitworth University, her principal’s certification from Seattle Pacific University, and she is currently working on earning an Ed.D. in leadership and professional practice at Trevecca Nazarene University. Jennifer has experience as a teacher, assistant principal, and director of special education.
David and Jennifer enjoy using their talents and training to help others. David and Jennifer believe that strong stewardship ministries and effective stewardship practices are important in equipping the Church of the Nazarene to make Christ-like disciples in all the nations.
Going Where the Church is Not Yet
Today there are over 4.3 billion people who live in areas where there is little to no gospel witness. 4.3 billion people who have not heard the message of the gospel, who have never heard the name of Jesus. We believe that everyone deserves to hear. God continues to call the Church of the Nazarene to spread the message of the gospel, to preach holiness, and to bring good news to the poor all over the world. The task is enormous; far too big for anyone to do alone, but together we can go where the church is not yet and see people, communities, and nations transformed.
