Stephen and Annette Morley
Serving in Northern Europe | Eurasia
Stephen and Annette Morley are specialized assignment missionaries with the Church of the Nazarene in the Republic of Ireland. They make their home in Gorey, Co. Wexford, on the east coast of Ireland, just south of Dublin. Married in 1989, the Morleys have two children. Their daughter, Elizabeth is an elementary school teacher and lives with her husband, Ben Hughes in the Kansas City area. Matthew, their son, is currently living in Chelan, Washington. Prior to coming to Ireland, they served in pastoral ministry for 21 years. Their home church is in Richland, Washington on the Northwest District.
Stephen and Annette are products of the ministry of our international church. Stephen was raised in a pastor’s home in England, Denmark, and the U.S. Annette was a missionary kid in South Africa. Crazy as is it might seem, it was in Africa that Steve & Annette first met.
Missions has always held an important place in the Morleys’ hearts. They’ve served on Youth in Mission teams, participated and led Work and Witness and Jesus Film Trips, while also serving on various missions councils. They share a story of God’s call and grace on their lives and are always looking for ways to incarnate Christ to our world. In fact, they long to see the Church of the Nazarene planted throughout the Republic of Ireland. They also recognise that they can’t fulfil God’s call on their lives without the body of Christ, without you.
Going Where the Church is Not Yet
Today there are over 4.3 billion people who live in areas where there is little to no gospel witness. 4.3 billion people who have not heard the message of the gospel, who have never heard the name of Jesus. We believe that everyone deserves to hear. God continues to call the Church of the Nazarene to spread the message of the gospel, to preach holiness, and to bring good news to the poor all over the world. The task is enormous; far too big for anyone to do alone, but together we can go where the church is not yet and see people, communities, and nations transformed. Reaching these people begins with one step, a step of obedience and faithfulness that says yes to God’s call. Take your first step and start your journey toward serving in missions today.
